My Collaborative Approach

Client-Centered Care

Your treatment plan will be as unique as you are. We will focus on your personal insights, challenges, and goals to create a path toward wellness that feels right for you.

A Holistic View

I recognize the deep connections between our minds, bodies, and life experiences. My approach considers the various factors that contribute to your well-being.

Empowerment Through Knowledge

My role is to combine clinical knowledge with your personal insights. I am committed to empowering you with knowledge and supporting you at every step of your journey.

My Integrated Therapeutic Approach

My approach centers on evidence-based medication management, integrated with supportive psychotherapeutic techniques. This combination allows us to manage symptoms while also building practical skills. While medication provides a foundation, our work together will draw from the following psychotherapeutic frameworks to help you achieve your goals:

Cognitive & Behavioral Skills (CBT/DBT)

We'll work together to identify the connections between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. You'll learn practical skills to challenge unhelpful patterns, manage distress, and regulate your emotions more effectively.

Mindfulness & Values-Based Techniques (ACT)

Instead of fighting difficult thoughts and feelings, you'll learn to observe them without judgment. This helps reduce their impact, allowing you to focus your energy on living a meaningful life based on your personal values.

Interpersonal & Supportive Therapy

We'll explore how your relationships and social roles impact your mood. The goal is to build stronger connections and a better support system, founded on a trusting and validating therapeutic relationship.

Strengths-Based & Motivational Techniques (MI)

We will focus on your strengths and your vision for the future. This approach is collaborative and goal-oriented, designed to help you find the motivation and identify the concrete steps needed to make positive changes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is telepsychiatry and how does it work?

Telepsychiatry offers convenient, confidential mental health care through secure video sessions. From your home in New Jersey, we can discuss your concerns, develop a treatment plan, and manage medications, just like an in-person visit.

What conditions do you treat?

I specialize in medication management for adults (ages 18-64) facing challenges with anxiety disorders, depression, mood disorders, and life transitions. I also provide LGBTQ+ affirming care.

What are the requirements to receive care?

To receive services, you must be an adult (18-64 years of age) and be physically located within the state of New Jersey at the time of your virtual appointment.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, I accept most major health insurance plans. You can verify your insurance and book an appointment directly through my secure Headway profile.

What should I expect during the first appointment?
My goal for our first session is to create a comfortable and confidential environment where you feel heard and understood. During this initial meeting, we will gently explore the concerns that brought you to care, discuss your background, and clarify your goals. By the end, my hope is that you feel confident that we are a good fit to work together.
How are prescriptions handled?

If medication is part of your treatment plan, prescriptions are sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy. My prescribing philosophy focuses on using evidence-based medications with a favorable safety profile and low potential for dependence.

What is your policy for cancellations or missed appointments?

I understand that scheduling conflicts can arise. I request at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or rescheduling requests. Appointments missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a fee.
